Arrive in Durbuk, then drive a few minutes to the western shore of the lake. Enjoy the surrounding landscape.

As the sun moves across it, Pangong Lake reveals changing hues. It's one of the bluest and clearest lakes you've seen so far, home to migratory birds like ducks and geese as well as rare and elusive birds like the Black-necked Crane. It will surprise you to learn that the lake lies only partially in India, with most of its length in China.
