By Air- You can find two domestic airports in Uttarakhand such as the Jolly Grant Airport (DED) in Dehradun and Pantnagar Airport (PGH). DED is served by regular nonstop flights from Delhi, Bangalore, Mumbai, and Chennai, and PGH serves as a gateway to hill stations like Nainital, Ranikhet, and Almora.

By Road- Uttarakhand offers a great transportation facility to tourists. The Uttarakhand Transport Corporation runs around 1000 buses in and out of the state. Even you can get an amazing experience traveling on road. It has more than 1,328 km of national highways and 1,543 km of state highways. By Train- Situated in Kathgodam, the train station is the last terminus of the North East railways which is connected with Delhi, Dehradun, and Howrah (Kolkata). Trains to Dehradun railway station come from Delhi, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh, and Punjab. Jan Shatabdi Express, Dehradun Express, Doon Express, and Nanda Devi Express are some of the major trains operating in Uttarakhand.

Nainital Lake


This is a major attraction that draws the attention of global tourists. Covered by panoramic seven hills such as Ayarpata, Deopata, HandiBandi, Cheena peak, Alma, LariaKanta and lastly Sher-ka-Danda, it boasts peaceful, serene and fascinating views that make it the most sought-after place for the travelers, tourists and the locals alike. Jim Corbett National Park

Situated at a distance of 4 km from Auli and 3 km from Gurso Bugyal, it is a small lake of crystal clear water near Auli, Joshimath, and surrounded by lush green forest. It is the best place for trekkers and honeymooners.

Jhula Devi Temple


It is one of the most captivating attractions of Ranikhet. Situated in Chaubatia Gardens and at a distance of 7 km, it is an 8th-century temple. Here in this temple, Lord Durga, the presiding deity sits on a wooden swing (Jhula). People come from different parts of the world to seek the blessings of Goddess Durga. Tungnath – The Highest Shiva Temple


Located at a height of 3680 meters above sea level, this temple is one of the most visited places and the highest temple in the world dedicated to Lord Shiva as well as the highest Panch Kedar temple of Uttarakhand. It is at a distance of about 4 km from the beautiful grazing land of Chopta. You can experience amazing and rewarding Himalayan views from this temple. Tungnath temple is also one of the famous five Panch Kedar shrines of Uttarakhand such as Kedarnath, Tungnath, Rudranath, Madhyamaheswar, and Kalpeshwar. Deoria Tal or Devariya Tal is situated on the Ukhimath-Gopeshwar road, near Chopta.
