Nathula Pass
It is a high-altitude mountain pass, situated at an altitude of 14,450 feet and 56 km from Gangtok. It is one of the three open trading borders between India and China. This is an adventurous pass that is accessible from Gangtok throughout the year. The KailashMansarovar route from Nathula Pass takes tourists and pilgrims to China-occupied Tibet.You will explore various attractive beauties and stunning environments. You can visit the border trade market at Sherathang. Close to Sherathang, Kupup is another beauty that is mostly covered by clouds. It has the world’s second-largest Golf course. Nathula Pass passes through Tsomgo Lake which is a famous tourist destination and does not have human inhabitation. Here you will watch birds like black eagles, blue whistling thrush, redstarts, folk, tit-blabber, etc. Apart from that, you can see Tibetan gazelle, snow leopards, yaks, Tibetan wolves, etc. Several gush waterfalls are there along the way from Gangtok to Nathula.
