Jodhpur

Jodhpur

Famous as the ‘blue city’ Jodhpur is touted as one of the most beautiful cities of Rajasthan. The pleasant shade of blue canvassing the length and breadth of the city with magnificent architecture, forts, palaces and other structures make Jodhpur worth a stay. The spectacular grandeur of this city is blended with modernity and traditional aesthetics at the same time. Jodhpur germinated out of the imagination and valour of Rao Jodha, the chief of Rathore Clan. Set against the backdrop of Thar Desert, the city carries a goofy charisma in the shade of blue. One of the most tantalizing cities of Rajasthan, the city is bracketed with the majestic Mehrangarh Fort, having a birds eye view of the city. For a vacationer, the city opens its huge fortresses to warmly welcome the visitor inside its cultural, historical and traditional retreat into time. Being the second-largest city of Rajasthan, Jodhpur is known as the Gateway to Thar. And it is impossible to miss out on the enchanting spectacle of Jodhpur on a trip to Rajasthan.

Summer season- During summer, the weather generally soars up to 44 degrees Celsius during day time and it becomes extremely difficult to stay enthusiastic throughout the visit. The eagerness to explore the city gets subdued due to the harsh weather. Therefore, summer is preferably not the right time to make a trip to the blue city. And if planned anyway, carry an umbrella, light cotton clothes, and sneakers along with a bottle of sunscreen.

Winter season- The best time to visit Jodhpur is during the month of October until Mid March as the weather is comparatively cooler and pleasant. The Winter season offers you the much-needed vigor to explore the city and its landscape on foot. This time of the year is also the peak season as the city witnesses massive numbers of visitors during the winter season.

Monsoon season- The weather is generally humid despite being slightly cooler due to drizzle and mild rainfall. But the monsoon season in Jodhpur doesn’t offer favourable weather conditions for vacationers. The trip to Jodhpur is best planned after the monsoon ends during early October or late September.
