Padmanabhaswamy Temple
Situated in Thiruvananthapuram, Sree Padmanabhaswamy is one of the 108 Divya Desams. This temple is dedicated to Lord Padmanabha and embroidered in gold-plated covering. It is one of the principal centres of Vaishnava worship in the dharma of Vaishnavism and it has a mention in the Bhagwad Gita.
Agasthyakoodam
Agastyakoodam is also known as Agastya Mala Peak. Situated in the sites of Neyyar Wildlife Sanctuary, it is the second highest peak in Kerala and boasts surreal natural beauty. It is home to several species of fauna and rare species of medicinal herbs as well as a hotspot for avifauna and exotic birds. It is considered the best place for birdwatchers. As it is a protected region, you can spot nature, without any commercial interference.
Poovar Island
Located 27 kms from Thiruvananthapuram, Poovar is a small rustic town with unexplored golden sand beaches and lovely backwaters of Kerala. You can visit this fishing village that lies between the Arabian Sea and the Neyyar River. Poovar beach is isolated and is only accessible by boat. Swimming is allowed here for tourists.
Napier Museum
Napier Museum is widely known for its fine collection of sculptures, paintings and musical instruments that makes it stand out from the market. It is also an architectural marvel as well as a home to one of the oldest zoological gardens in India. It is one of the most visited art and natural history museums in India.
