By Air- Srinagar International Airport (SXR) and Kushok Bakula Rimpochee Airport (IXL) in Leh are the major airports in Jammu And Kashmir State. Both the airports are well-connected to the major cities. The Srinagar International Airport is linked with Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai, and Bangalore, while Kushok Bakula Rimpochee Airport has direct flights to and from Delhi, Mumbai, and Srinagar. Jammu Airport deals with domestic flights from major urban centers in India.

By Road- The state and national highways serve Jammu and you can also follow the NH1(A) that passes through the city of Jammu to Srinagar in the Kashmir Valley.NH1 is the main highway that manages the primary traffic as well as you can find buses and taxis between Jammu, Srinagar, and Leh, operated by Government and private operators.

By Train- Jammu Tawi is the busiest railway station in Jammu and Kashmir. It serves as the northern terminal of major trains linking with the rest of India. Regular express trains from Jammu to Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, and Trivandrum run efficiently.

Naag Mandir


It is one of the most ancient temples, more than 600 years old. Many Shiva devotees visit this temple to pay respects and worship the snake King Cobra, especially during the Nag Panchami Festival. This temple has made of wood that weathered for several centuries. You can also explore the sceneries around this temple which is standing amidst lush green surroundings.

Shiva Garh


It is one of the most visited trekking destinations near Patnitop. Shiva Garhis blessed with picturesque settings at 3500 m. It is usually a one-day trek and is highly recognized by many adventurists. If you are an adventure enthusiast, then it is the best option to explore the beauty of the Patnitop region. During your trekking, you will cross through a striking pine tree forest and lush meadows and fascinating landscapes connecting Kud and Batote. Trekking equipment can be borrowed from the tourist department shops in Jammu.

Ningle Nallah


Just 10 km away from Gulmarg town, Ningle Nallah is one such mountain stream that has become the most famous destination to visit. You will feel like a painted canvas of green meadows with wildflowers on either side. Listen to the beautiful gurgling sound of this stream that will heal your soul. The Alpather Lake is the major lake of which Ningle Nallah is just an off-shoot. You can plan for a picnic or a camper bonfire or just here for hours. The amazing atmosphere, cheeping birds, and the garrulous stream make this place more wonderful to visit. You can also take a short hike to the nearest mountain and enjoy trout fishing in the streams of Ningle nallah. Amarnath Cave Temple


This is a holy place for the pilgrims, which is located at an altitude of 3,888 meters approx, about 29 kilometers from Pahalgam. Every year, a large number of devotees visit it from June to August, with the pilgrimage tour famously known as the Amarnath yatra. It is one of the 18 Maha Shakti Peethas.

It is known as “The Jewel of Srinagar” and spreads across an area of around 26 square kilometers. You can see colorful Shikaras, traditional wooden houseboats, and floating markets. Take a ride in the attractive Shikaras, wooden boats ornamented stunningly with canopies overhead. It gives a chance to shop for authentic Kashmiri items from the floating market or lake market. Situated in the foothills of Zabarwan Range & opened in 2007, the Indira Gandhi Memorial Tulip Garden had its name among the world’s 5 best tulip gardens and Asia’s biggest garden till date. It aims at enhancing floriculture as well as tourism in the area. It has the rarest of rare tulip varieties, including the “Queen of the Night”. The annual festival is held in spring between the months of March and May. You can see different sorts of flowers like Hyacinth, ranunculus, daffodils and many more.
