How to reach Shimla

Shimla is well connected through rail, road and air travel. However, the best way to reach Shimla is via rails -- the famous Shimla Kalka Toy train. You can take the toy train from Kalka and reach Shimla and while you do that, you would be introduced to some of the most awe-inspiring mountains in the region. 
 

By air: Shimla has its own airport --Jubbarhatti airport. However, it doesn’t cater to flights from every part of India, you can catch a flight from Delhi to Shimla. The other closest airport would be in Chandigarh and you can take a bus or cab from Chandigarh to reach Shimla. 

By train: Shimla also has a narrow-gauge railway line that connects Shimla to Kalka. You can board the toy train from Kalka station to reach Shimla. 

By road: Shimla is well connected by roads and you can take Himachal Pradesh Road Transport buses from various neighbouring cities including Delhi, Chandigarh and Jaipur.
