Umananda Island


This stunning island is especially known for Wildlife, natural beauty, jeep safari, and temples. Hoollongapar Gibbon Wildlife Sanctuary

Jatinga


The small and tranquil village of Jatinga is situated about 9 kms south of the town of Haflong. It is famously known as the most popular bird watching center, controlled by thedistrict forestry office in Haflong. Tourists should not miss this amazing place which is popular for its “bird suicide” phenomenon. Explore its royal views and the mysterious phenomenon of birds “committing suicide”. During the months of August and November, the birds die due to mysterious reasons according to the villagers. As per the scientists, there are different reasons for this incident. Most tourists visit this place between the months of August to November especially ornithologists and bird watchers.

Digboi Oil Refinery


It was made during the year 1901 and set up by Assam Oil Company Private Limited. And it was taken over by Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOC) in the year 1981. Currently, this refinery is still tremendously operable and functioning as well as it handles both refining and marketing operations. This refinery is popularly named as “Gangotri of the Indian Hydrocarbon Sector”. You can also see ancient oil tools and equipment here in this place that was once used during the better part of the 20th century. It is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Digboi and attracts many tourists from across the world.

War Cemetery


Situated nearby the border of the country Burma, Digboi served as an army camp for the Burmese campaign during the Second World War. It was made the communications line centre.The Digboi war Cemetery started out as a burial ground for the dead bodies which came from the hospital.It was finally relocated to Digboi during the 1960s.You will find more than 200 burials in this place.Visit and pay due respect to the dead who fought valiantly in the Second World War
